Privacy Notice

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) require me to set out exactly what happens to your personal data once you share information with me.
I will only discuss your case with your veterinary surgeon with your express permission. I will only share information (such as the post-consultation report) with your vet with your consent. I will not share information with anyone else. You can withdraw your consent at any time and I will not share any further information with your vet. In exceptional circumstances I may need to disclose information without your consent, typically for the prevention of crime, fraud, terrorist activity or safeguarding children or vulnerable adults. If this occurs I will contact you if appropriate to let you know that I have shared this information and why.

If you are just visiting this website, I don't collect any information about you. I don't use any analytics except the number of visitors to the site, but I can't identify you in any way.

If you complete a contact form on this website then the website sends me an email with your message. You can choose whether to give your name, email address or phone number and how you would prefer me to contact you. I will never store this information anywhere (unless you go on to book a service - see below). The information is stored in my email provider which can only be accessed by me and is protected in the usual way with strong passwords. My email provider is accessible via my smartphone, which is also protected with a pin code and fingerprint recognition. I do not use this information for any purpose other than to contact you as requested. You can contact me at any time and request that I delete your personal details and I will do so as soon as possible but certainly within 5 working days of your request.

If you or your vet email me then any personal information provided is only stored in my email inbox, I do not print or store email communication anywhere else. My email can only be accessed by me and is protected in the usual way with strong passwords. My email inbox is accessible via my smartphone, which is also protected with a PIN code and fingerprint recognition. If you send an attachment (either a completed behaviour questionnaire or referral from your vet ahead of your consultation) this will be stored in your electronic file (see information on when you book a service, below). You can contact me at any time to request that your personal details are deleted and I will ensure this is done as soon as possible but certainly within 5 working days of your request.

If you or your vet call me I will only retain your personal information if you go on to request a service. I only collect the information necessary to provide that service, including contact details and your vet's details. I may store your number in my smartphone for efficiency. This is protected with a PIN code and fingerprint recognition. You can contact me at any time to request that your personal details are deleted and I will do so as soon as possible but certainly within 5 working days of your request.

If you book a service I will open an electronic file containing the referral form from your vet, your completed questionnaire and any subsequent reports. These are stored on my laptop which is protected with anti-virus software, is only accessible by me and is protected with a strong password. You can contact me at any time to request that all your records are deleted and I will do so as soon as possible (within a maximum of 5 working days). If you want to retain your post-consultation report you will need to make arrangements to do so because I won't be able to provide a further copy once it is deleted. I retain these records for 10 years unless you request otherwise.

If you have a complaint I will store this on your file and will only use the information you provide to process and respond to your complaint. Complaints will be stored for 10 years unless you request otherwise. You can contact me to request that your complaint and all associated personal information is deleted and I will ensure this is done as soon as possible and certainly within 5 working days.
